Prayers are Powerful and Effective if Prayed from the Position of a Righteous Heart!

Regina:

Sister Fran sums things up beautifully in today’s post. I pray you are blessed by her beautiful words. As always, if you have something weighing on you, I am honored to pray with you! Just let me know!
Blessings,
Regina

The reality is, our prayers don’t change God. But I am convinced prayer changes us, and it brings us into authentic connection with God. Prayer opens our spiritual eyes to see things we can’t see on our own. And I’m convinced prayer matters. Prayers are powerful and effective if prayed from the position of a righteous heart (James 5:16). I don’t know what your story is; I don’t know all that you’re going through but I want to encourage you today and let you know that there is power in prayer. God doesn’t want you to worry about today or tomorrow; instead He wants you to pray about everything and to make your request known to Him.

Let me encourage you to take God up on His word. I can attest to the incredible power of prayer as I have witnessed God’s unmerited favor in my walk with Him. Not…

God will give you more than you can handle: I guarantee it.

Regina:

All our Lemmony Things perfectly sums up the journey through grief. In short, God does put more on us than we can handle, but it is so we will draw close to Him! I pray you are blessed by this.
Blessings,
Regina

All my life, I’ve heard this phrase whenever I go through a rough patch. *And by rough patch, I mean a prickly, gnarly patch that leaves me bleeding to near death*. You’re probably familiar with those kinds of “patches”.

“God will never give you more than you can handle” is the phrase I’m referring to.

more than to bear

And it’s a sweet sentiment, really. The people who say it are speaking from caring and concerned hearts.

BUT–it isn’t true.

I know that sounds harsh, but I promise I haven’t suddenly lost my mind or have become an angry-with-God bitter woman who hates the world. Actually, when I realized the simple fact that God can–and will–give us more than we can possibly bear, it got easier.

And it all started to make more sense.

I’ve often trudged through trials that overwhelm me. Ever since my…

The beacon’s light has faded,
the foghorn is now but mute
the lighthouse stands alone
on the hill of ill-repute.

Silenced now, from the left,
the warning sounds no more
the lighthouse is in the dark
upon this nation’s shaken shore.

Once a beam unto the world,
a responsibility we all shared
now the people of this republic
are caught up in Satan’s snare.

In the past we stood in honor,
to the God in whom we trust
now we offend and discriminate
with His truth on greed and lust.

The church once held the beacon,
in the palm of its blessed hand
but it no longer wants or cares
to take a bold and daring stand.

It’s time to wake up the masses,
and shine His light on our grime
for to hold back the Gospel’s truth
is a spiritual sin and crime.

Update on Transferring Subscribers to New Domain

Movers Hello.  As I explained yesterday, most of my posts now are on the new domain, Prayer Communication with God.  I am in the process of getting my subscribers transferred to the new domain as well.  Here is the latest update I have on this transition:

Please keep in mind that while your email subscribers will continue to receive email notifications of new posts as before, WordPress.com followers will only see new posts in the Reader. They will not receive email updates unless they subscribe to receive those on your new site.

So, once this transfer takes place, you will only be able to read the post in your reader unless you go to the site and register.  If you want to receive our post in your email inbox please go to our website and register.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Blessings,

Regina
